I did one - I found music notes, clefs, sharps, flats fabric at JoAnn's. Also different musical instruments. There is some real nice stuff there. You could also use a tonal in between if you like or maybe some batik. Sometimes in the juvenile fabric you might find something.

    Good luck! Edie

There is a ton of music fabric out there. I bought a lot from keepsake quilting. Every shop I have gone into lately has it, do a search online for music fabric, you should get some good deals right now. They even have fabric with complete choirs in robes, piano keys, etc. Andover fabric site has some really neat free patterns, one is using their music fabric. http://www.andoverfabrics.com/QuiltD...l%20Voices.pdf

I can't wait to see what you do. My brother is a music teacher and I would love to make him a music quilt.

Elizabeth's Studio makes some very nice music fabric that showcase different musical instruments: drums, brass, or strings. They're on a black background and so will tie in well with black-and-white musical note fabrics. Perhaps if you include some different individual instruments, it would catch the eye of anyone who happens to play those? Just thinking that if it is for a raffle, there might be a little more interest generated.

Also check out Fabric.com and do a search for "music" ... you'd be surprised what you get!

There are some great instrumental fabrics, some terrific vocal music fabric, and general "notes" and "G-clef" fabrics. There is also fabric with sheet music on it, piano keys, etc., etc., etc.

Good luck with whatever you select!
