My LQS
#1
Today I decided to stop in at the LQS and take a real look around. What a lovely shop it is. The lady working there today was so friendly and knew her stuff. I'm going to have to see if I can coordinate my money with a time when they have a class. Found a ton of fabric that I would have loved to have walked out of the store with. Beautiful. I did buy a book called Weaver Fever. I really like the look and think I will give them a try one of these days.

Thats beautiful Zephrhills. However I have three LQS and two of them I will never step foot in again. The owner in one was cutting Fabric and I was the only one in the store and when I asked if she could help me match up a piece of fabric her reply was Oh just look around you'll find some thing. the other one was pretty much the same thing and these two are closer to home. The third is the farest yet these women in this large store come over and ask if they can help, ask to see what your working on and try to match up or find you something pleasing. There is were I spend my $$$$.

Zhillslady I love your quilt. Pretty. I really like the look of the Weaver quilts. Was it very complicated? I've read through the instructions but i'm not sure so sure they are as easy as the lady at the LQS said. She said it was really just making blocks. I'm not going to be starting one yet, so I still have time to read more.

I'm all about supporting local businesses, but to keep my business, they have to provide something I can't get elsewhere. A local quilt shop is just another fabric store. It's not like they made their product themselves; i.e., jewelry, candles, that sort of thing.
