EDIE...I bought her used with a whopping 3 hours of sewing time on her. She is a Bernina 730 with all the bells and whistles. I played with her for 4 hours and I was hooked!!! My dh went and got coffee ( LQS is also a coffee shop) he got haircut, got catfood, got gas, and when he came back, he just looked at me and said sooo....how much??

I got a Bernina Mastery Class, 20 year warranty, they threw in a 1/4 inch foot, and I am now a lifetime shopper with 20% off always on anything I purchase at the store. The owner is a really big guy and he was laughing at me dancing in the store. She is still in the bags so once I get her settled, I'll show you my new baby. I am grinning from ear to ear....I cannot believe I am so lucky!!

Congratulations!! I hope you have great fun with your new toy. DH needs lots of attention for being so nice and letting you get it. I have a 630e, not as many bells and whistles, but lots more that i use to have.

Oh, I'm sooo happy for you! I have the 640E and love it!

Did you get the BSR foot too? It usually comes with it. That's too pricey for me, $800.

Yes :D . It was an "anniversary editioin" machine and came with a few x-tra goodies. I got a whole box of thread for embroidery, a box of stabilizers, and 500 more embroidery designs. The lady who previously owned Edie never even opened up the box!

 I remember reading the post. I never named the other machines--but as I was sitting there playing, Edie just endeared herself to me.

Time for a happy dance! Now, don't forget to eat and sleep, and your DH DOES deserve some attention for being such a sweetie!

Oh Quiltwoman  I'm soooo excited for you!!! About a month ago I got a 200E upgraded to think it is a 730 and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bernadette! (Thats her name) I can't believe it had such little time on it!!

I have played on mine non-stop since buying it and have gone to 5 mastery classes so far. You did good girl...now comes the hard part....staying off it long enough to give your DH that attention he needs since he was such a nice guy
