I had to go get the baby from camp yesterday cause she broke a tooth and needed a root canal, so I decided since I was going to have to drive four hours to the great North East Pa region I would take the opportunity to organize my own shop hop. I hopped to three shops and found some great deals.
One shop called Another Quilt House was AWESOME!!! It is small but jamb packed with goodies at a good price. Plus it has a "room to rent" for little mini retreats. For $5.00 a day you can gather with your friends and sew sew sew. My be a great idea for us Pa'ers to consider. (and anyone else who would like to travel)
Second shop called Mountain Quiltworks has two AMAZING antique quilts that she is quilting. One was well over 100 years old and a five pointed star where the pieces were each smaller then a dime. It was astounding!!!!
The third shop called A Stitch in Time was having a sale with 25% everything and 75% off clearance fabrics. Some FQ's were $.75

I had a great time even though I was all alone. I get to do the trip again in the morning.

Hope the baby is okay! Sounds like your "shop-hop" was fun. Love the fabrics you picked. Most the time I like to go to quilt shops alone because then I can stroke the fabric to my hearts content and not have to worry about holding up someone else. Have fun tomorrow when you get to do it again! :)

Was it endless mountain quiltworks in Tunkhannock? were you asking directions to another place from there? was the owner giving them? If so- I was behind you! Please tell me it was you! Of all the times i keep my mouth shut- I'm always giving directions since I travel so much.

If it wasn't you, I'll just sit back down and shut up.

    OMG YOU 2!!
I would have spoken up, but I talk to everyone standing at registers, grocery lines. Family hates when I do that lol
    But, how coincidental is that??
You live in the same state, hours from each other, then stumble upon each other and DON"T know it! lmao

    Oooh!
    How fun...
I do my own mini shop hops every once in awhile...
Instead of going to the same direction I choose a new one and visit the shops, buy me some lunch and enjoy the day...
    How fun!!!!

This is the thing. I usually do!! But for some reason I didn't this time. I don't know why. Maybe I was just thinking about the directions she was giving me. I was concerned they were wrong she didn't seem too sure.

The tooth thing was an ordeal but it is fixed now and she should be fine until the end of camp. Well I am on my way back again this morning. I think though this time straight up and back. Still 8 hours behind the wheel.

I can't wait to figure something out to do with the beach ladies fabric. The girl at the shop made a bag and stuffed certain key areas of anatomy. It was really cute.
