Default My trip to local Hancock's store

went well. I am taking my 10 yr. old granddaughter to a sewing class where she will make a pillow tomorrow. So, I wandered in there to get her a pillow form.

Well, as I was browsing around, I noticed the Ott lights were half-priced. Well, long story short, I love my new Ott lamp!

I have the floor Ott lamp and I love it. I enables me to see my handwork a lot easier.

Congrats on your new purchase! I love my Ott lamps even tho the bulbs are quite expensive to replace.

Love mine too. I have 4, one floor lamp next to my chair in the TV room, another floor lamp next to my sewing machine, and a table lamp on a shelf next to my chair in my sewing room (it is perched on the shelf so the light goes over my shoulder while I hand sew) and last but not least one under the cupboard in the kitchen where I use the cutting board.

    They are great lamps.

I guess I need to google this lamp. I am not familiar with it. Why is it so good?

How do you sew black fabric with black thread without an Ott Lamp? My lamp is over 10 years old and still has the original bulb! If you have not so new eyes you deserve the Ott lamp.

Thanks Bellaboo for saying just the right thing to convince me. My eyes are also "not so new". I've been looking at Ott lamps and I think now is the time.

I love my Ott too and isn't it surprising that you can go into a fabric shop to get one thing and come out with a bunch of goodies....I just don't understand how that happens.........
