Whoops hit the wrong button will continue

    A cut finger -
    is numb before it bleeds.
    it bleeds before it hurts.
it hurts until it begins to heal.
it forms a scab and itches until
finally, the scab is gone and
a small scar is left where
    once there was a wound.
Grief is the deepest wound you have
ever had. Like a cut finger,
    It goes through stages and
    leaves a scar.

Hope this gives you some ideas with little cost.

I had a lady who made a small pocket out of the plastic canvas with the yarn(I dont remember what it is called) and placed a little prayer in it.She gave me one when my dad was very sick. I still have it, and it means alot to me.And this isn't hard to do.

Bless you for doing this and raising awareness about this disease. I, too, lost my mother to this 5 years ago. I am sure whatever you do will be meaningful to your audience.

I have seen small "Prayer Quilts" which was basically a smallish quilt block with a cross in the center. I have the dretions somewhere in my files if that's something you might feel appropriate. I believe it also had a prayer or verse attached.

If you do machine embroidery, there is a free fsl mini angel on my website. The angel has a ribbon on it in pink for breast cancer, but, you could change the color to purple. Just add a small magnet to the back and it can be hung on the refridgerator. It is small enough to also carry in a wallet. Here is the link:

    Hope this helps.

Coasters are always nice and you notice it every time you put a glass or cup down. Sue

If you find or if you knit, you can knit with wool and then felt it (all directions are on line). Then you can cut any shape out of the felted material that you want, i.e., a heart, a star. For men you could make it small enough to put on a shirt pocket or add a magnet for the fridg.

My DMIL had Alzheimer's and it is a very heart aching, life shaking, difficult to deal with condition that takes every bit of patience God has given you to get through it. Many, many tears and frustration.

I don't know if you are aware of two books, which helped me. 1) The 36-hour day and 2) The Long Good Bye.

Such a nice thought. Good luck!
