I don't know about the plug not going in, but I once got a phone call from my friend who has a Bernina, she even went to the trouble to hold the phone near her machine so I could hear the noise it was making. It turned out that her bobbin winder catch was engaged, so it was spinning round without a bobbin on it. Just something to check, in case you have accidentally knocked yours.

If it isn't that, I hope you get it sorted soon, at least it's still under guarantee.

#1 unplug the cord from the wall outlet
#2 be sure machine switch is in off position
    #3 plug cord into machine
#4 plug cord into wall outlet
    #5 turn on machine

If it is still making funny noise, call your dealer/service tech. It could have experienced an electrical serge and lost it's mind.

You all are so kind ! My DH got it plugged in and said to unplug from the surge protector instead of machine from now on ! Also , someone said at tonites meeting they only unplug from machine when they take it to class. So.....I will probably call the dealer tomorrow to see what he has to say ! Thank you all again , I so appreciate your taking time to answer. I did finish my binding and will try to get some pics up of last couple projects.

Someone - wish I could remember who - told me never to unplug from the machine. I can't recall the reason though.
