Since I haven't gotten much in the way of new quilts started; recently I came across this picture of my first handmade quilt, twin size for my son's loft bed when he was younger, 1988, I think. It is completely hand pieced and quilted. As the saying goes, look at it on a galloping horse!!! I've come a long way baby!

It's beautiful whether I am looking at it on a galloping horse or a snail.
    I love it!

Beautiful! I've seen the block. It's nice to see a whole quilt made with it. Love your colors.

Very nicely done. I admire anyone who does hand work, but after spending hours stitching in the ditch yesterday, I can see the reason for it.

Not as much time as you would think. I hand pieced in the van going on trips and while sitting at soccer practice and Tae Kwon Do practice.

I love it. Bow ties are always beautiful and your fabric choices are great.
