There is a rolled hem foot that you can buy.
Talk to your local sewing dealer...then you can hand stitch the beading on. It can come in "strings" or "lengths" that is much easier to handle.
Your local sewing machine dealer should be able to help you with the foot and the process...
The local fabric store can help with the bead selection.

Do a google search for making a bridal veil. Lots will come up. I made my daughters 5 years ago and her cousins the next year. They are not hard, but do practice on extra fabric (bridal illusion - it isn't very expensive) first. The edge could be done with a cording called "rat tail". It is zig-zagged on about 1-2 inches from the edge then the veil is trimmed. I am getting ready to make one for a co-workers daughter. The price for a pre-made veil is outrageous!!

When I saw this post I went digging for mine. I wanted to post a picture, but for some reason my veil is missing. This is going to make me crazy so this weekend I am going to tear that closet apart. Anyway my veil had lace sewn on the edges of the veil. They sell it on spools like how you buy ribbon. They have tons of different ones to choose from. Some are just lace with different sizes and different designs. Some have pearl with lace, sequins and lace, all types. If I can find it this weekend I will post a picture. I hope what I said makes sense. It's not serged- it's another peice that is sewn on.
