Default Older quilt...

This is a quilt my Mother made. She didn't put a label on it and has passed away, so I can't be asking questions of her. Do any of you know if this is any particular pattern?

It's handquilted and very pretty in person. Gosh I miss her.

It's an Irish Chain. I think it is a Double Chain. It is beautiful! I have an antique red/white one.

What a lovely keepsake. Love the way your mom did the inner boarder. Think of the hours she spent with it, its true, just like a hug from the maker.

I agree with Carol, its a double Irish chain.

Double Irish Chain. It's beautiful! Eleanor Burns has a book with this pattern.

Thank y'all so much!

My Mother made and gave it to my daughter. Now that I'm quilting, I realized she never put a label on her work! So I'm making one for it. Thanks again for your help.

Those labels are important - we always think we will remember everything about the quilts that we've made - doesn't take long to forget the details. I have counted cross stitch from the 80's - I'm so glad I signed and dated my pieces! Told my granddaughter that an artist always signs her work.
