This Broken Dishes small quilt was done seven years ago in subdued colors. This pattern looks great no matter what colors you use. It's 20 x 25. I just love it. Hope you like my mini. Thanks for looking!

Beautiful! I'm still trying to get enough courage to try triangles.

Know what you mean! I used to be like that. Stayed away from triangles for years until I learned to do "sew first, cut later" technique. Draw a line diagonally down the backs of your squares and cut when your done sewing! You gotta try it; you'll love it! Thank you so much, BrendaB, for the compliment!!

Thank you soooo much, belmer!!!! It was the very pattern I used for my first mini so long ago to cover my great-gm's doll bed given to me when I was 6 or 7. You are right -- it's a great pattern!! Thank you, belmer, for your kind words!! So very appreciated for the nice feedback. Makes me want to make some more. haha.

How pretty! Would that be considered a doll quilt?

Thank you, Grama Lehr!!! I think it would pass for a doll quilt. I know that Sylvia Berg and the women from Georgia would call it "Little Quilts". It sure would fit a doll bed nicely. Since it's so close to 24" it could be a doll quilt for sure! Maybe someone out there knows for sure.

n2 is right, sew first then cut to size. Check out Rhonda's methods as well.

OBTW, n2 looks great, I like the broken dishes pattern as well. G
