Clover brand flower-head pins are the thinnest of this type on the market. I refuse to piece without them!

I like the Clover patchwork pins - yellow and blue glass heads. They work great, but do bend easily. I just keep a box in stock and replace them as needed. The Kay Buckley pins are the thinnest I have ever seen - actually too thin for me.

Ditto, Jan! The blue flowers are the thinnest and my favorite.

I use Iris Swiss superfein 1 1/4" pins. They come in a handy size blue tin of 500. I have very little bending/snagging with these. And they are long and fine.

I'm not sure how long I have had my flower head pins or what brand they were... I like that the flower heads lay flat and are easy to remove while sewing... but the flowers are starting to come off, maybe I've had them way too long.

I too like the Clover patchwork pins. Got them on Amazon. These are different from the silk pins mentioned earlier. I also use the larger yellow head pins if I have something thicker to pin or for most garment sewing but love the Clover Patchwork pins for piecing.

I just want to add a little more wisdom to this truth. If you keep your pins in a 100% wool pin cushion, the natural lanolin in the wool also contributes some naturally occurring "glide".
