    Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to make a quilt label on my computer that will have a picture of the bride and groom on the left side and then I want to put all the label info on the right side.

I'm having trouble getting this to work; when I insert the pic first, my text wants to go below the pic. When I set a tab for a little bit more than half way over (on the right side of the page), I'm getting all my text where I want it, but then when I go to insert the pic it goes below the text but on the left (even when I have the cursor to the left of the pic). Argh! :(

Is there a simple way to do this? I'm using Open Office Writer (like MS Word). I do not have quilt label software, and I know there's a way to do this. I'm sure I'm just having a problem setting it up correctly - never took desktop publishing.

    Thanks in advance,

In Word, you would click the picture and then click either "format picture" or "wrap text" depending on what version you are using. Older versions you do "format picture" and then will find "wrap text" under that.

Chose the wrap style you want. It sounds to me like you need "in line with text".

I really need to quit typing without my glasses! I keep finding typos to edit!!

Another way is to add the picture, then add a separate text box. You can move them around and decide on the best way to arrange them. You can mess with the font, font size, color, etc.

Thanks. How do you add a text box?
