well i went and got the bobbin winder. i think i got a really good deal. The clerk said someone just returned it and it was the last one. She said she would give me a dicount if i wanted it, I said sure why not. When i got home and looked at the sales slip she had dicounted it 75%. so i got a 34.00 dollar bobbin winder for 9.00 dollars.

I have to ask the question. Why does one really need a bobbin winder for a sewing machine that may or may not work adequately? I KNOW my machine will wind perfect bobbins that work every time. Why not do like I did and purchase a few extra bobbins and fill them before starting a project?

I have one. My DGD about wore it out winding bobbins for me. I ended up buying every package of the basic bobbins Walmart had and she filled every one. She had a blast and felt so important to be helping. I took the shoebox full of wound bobbins to guild to be used for hand sewing. I finally got the partially filled spools of thread out of my stash.
