Do you do write the label by hand or are you able to use Microsoft Word etc.,for the message and then print on the label. I think I have seen a youtube video where the girl applies the label first to freezer paper but I would worry I wouldn't get it centered.
I serge them apart to finish the edges, then turn them under and whipstitch them down. I write whatever I want with Pigma pens and I color the designs with Fabrico markers. You could also embroider the inscription.

If you google it, you can come up with lots of options.

I know that RJR has made a lot of different themed labels, and even some by Moda, but I don't know where they would be found.

I just buy them when I see them. Len's Mills in Ontario Canada always has some and my LQS usually has at least one panel design of labels. I cut them apart, face them with a piece of stabilizer (I have a roll of it) slit the stabilizer and flip it to the back encasing the edges (no need to stitch up the slit as it won't show anyway). I keep a small drawer of prepared labels so it is grab one, write the info with Pigma Pen, press to set the ink and stitch it on with the machine. Easy and quick for me!

Since Laurel Burch is my #1 favorite fabric designer I could not resist.

Here is a picture of what it looks like.

I really like these ... I have searching the web for several days now and can't find anything I really like. I'm not that picky of a person but I'm not into flowers or what I would consider would be for kids quilts.

I have also been searching you tube but I'd hate to mess up my fabric. I may this weekend buy 1/2 yd cheap muslin and give a go at it.
