I inherited some quilt pieces and I have been unable to figure out how to put this quilt together. Any ideas? :hunf:

a Scrappy Dresdan Fan?
I think these are appliqued onto a square...if it is what I am thinking. Or else you would have to add triangles and Y seams to square them up into blocks.

Yes, I agree with Amma....add triangles to square it up. They are beautiful blocks...I hope you do make them up into a quilt.

Is there any chance that these pieces were from a finished quilt? It looks like there is batting sticking out around the edges.

Pieces like these should have been sewn onto larger squares which might be hard for you to do now if they have batting underneath already.

Two seconds more thinking: These would make great little bed top pillows. Cut them into circles, sew two together, stuff, and put in a center button. Give a couple back to the previous owners and keep the rest!

It looks like the Spider Web. Here is a link to one at quiltville.com http://www.quiltville.com/spiderweb.shtml

It doesn't look like batting. It looks like the string quilts that are constructed on a foundation fabric. I love scrappy quilts. It will look beautiful finished.

I think I would applique them onto squares and go from there. They are beautiful pieces! I can't wait to see what you do with them.

I also thought of a spider web. I have some books from the late 70s that have spider web quilts in them.
