I have a Husqvarna but I have never learned how to embroider on it! I keep thinking I'll take classes (the closest one is 45 min. away) but I never do!
I would love to learn to do this.
I have a brother 270D that I started out with and now take that one to retreats and bought a 8500 pacesetter that I love. If I ever buy another one it will be with a 6x10 hoop. Sure wish I would have gone bigger first  I did sweats for the GK for christmas, my absolute favorite are in/the/hoop projects...I'll enclose a picture of projects I did for guild members for christmas....

Ok, I have a question for all you embroidery experts out there. What kind of stabilizer would I use with this? It's 100% rayon, texture and drape mimics pashima silk. If possible, I'd like to have a double sided design on the ends. Theorys, suggestions??
I am working on one right now with slippery fabric I am doing it in the fun and done method and used iron on batting, I sure hope it softens in the wash. It holds well for the machine tho. I would at least use an iron on interfacing. My personal experience maybe some one else has a better idea.
I have the PED basic and it does everything I need, downloading designs, storing and resizing...I didn't want to spend the big price either.Quote:

Here are some sites with free downloads.

For the scarf I would use the sticky stabilizer especially since you want it to look good on both sides. If you use iron on it would be hard to get the extra off when you are done. I would pick an open line design. Some of these fabrics don't do the fill very well no matter what you do. If you don't use the stick I would be tempted to use a disolve one. My mom has the feature that she can baste the outside of the design and I would use it to help keep it from moving. The disolve one would make it easier to remove it afterwards and open up some other design possibilities.
