Yes, dear members, you read it right. It is with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes that I share this news.

Our beloved Gorilla is packing up his ‘nanners and swingin’ off to explore new jungles.

Why? Well, that’s a secret.

Ok. Ok. You twisted my arm … but … [she looks to the left; she looks to the right] … c’mere. In close. I have to whisper so he won’t know I spilled the beans.

HE’S GETTING MARRIED!!!!!

Here’s the weird part. He and the future Mrs. Gorilla have this crazy idea they should have a honeymoon and then be newlyweds.
You know … time for themselves and each other. To build their lives together … make a bright new future.
All that crazy stuff the young’uns want to do once the birds have nibbled all the rice.

And you know how spoiled we are. We’ve kept him tied up day and night for the past four years.
(When you think about it, it’s a bit of a miracle the poor guy found time to fall in love. )

What’s to become of us? What will we do? Where will we go? Who’s going to take care of us now? Who’s going to keep us spoiled and happy?

DA-DA-TAH-TAAAAAAAH!!!!! :P :P :P

Allow me, please, to introduce TaliaRose, our new Admin. She’ll be along shortly to tell us more about herself.
The important thing to know now is that TaliaRose is part of a team who will be dedicated to keeping our board on the internet.

My name is TaliaRose, I work with the company Internet Brands. We are located in sunny and warm Southern California, specifically El Segundo. I am excited to get to know you all and help out as needed.

I realize that the news of Konstantin leaving is a shock for many of you. While I am optimistic about this transition, I understand how some of you might be confused or concerned about what it means for you. QB is a place you’ve trusted with your quilting projects and personal experiences – the friends and bonds you’ve made here are something you value highly.

My main role as Admin is to provide support for PatriceJ (who will remain the Senior Moderator of QB). We have the benefit of a team of people at Internet Brands that will be able to help us if there are technical issues on the website.

Along with being a technology geek, I myself am a crafter. I love jewelry making and painting. I have to say, I’m not very good at sewing, although I am TRYING to learn and get better so I can make my own bags!! Maybe you all can teach me a few things about quilting!

I know many of you have questions. I am very responsive, so please do not hesitate to send me a PM or reply with your questions here.

Welcome Talia-I'm sure you will be very warmly welcomed by everyone here! I am also from Southern California-grew up in Redondo Beach and now live in Ramona (after a 20 year stint over-seas). I hope you get bitten by the quilt bug like the rest of us!

Let me [try] be the first to welcome you TaliaRose, people are quick around here and someone else might still beat me. As you can see I'm a newbie, and my only question is will we still get our newsletters coming in addressed as Konstantin, or will that change?
