We took a feather bed to a dry cleaner. I asked to have the fathers cleaned and put into pillows. I only got two pillows but was told they would be very, very expensive if we bought them.

If you do not want to deal with it, place it on FREE CYCLE, For sure someone would appreciate :) Sometimes we all get tired of something and just do not want, but there is one to take it just around the corner :)

cushion filling but don't forget to use feather proof ticking , you could also make some surplus pillows, both SO much better than these ghastly man made fillers.
I took apart a down eiderdown and did the above and "hoovered" them out in a "Henry" cylinder which was new. you may like to wash or stove the feathers first. |
