We took a feather bed to a dry cleaner. I asked to have the fathers cleaned and put into pillows. I only got two pillows but was told they would be very, very expensive if we bought them.

LOL So true and we are bad :) I'm still laughing out loud ( I'm glad my neighbors can't hear me or they might just call the looney bin on me LOL) Why not make some throw pillows, cat / dog beds ????

If you do not want to deal with it, place it on FREE CYCLE, For sure someone would appreciate :) Sometimes we all get tired of something and just do not want, but there is one to take it just around the corner :)

cushion filling but don't forget to use feather proof ticking , you could also make some surplus pillows, both SO much better than these ghastly man made fillers.

I took apart a down eiderdown and did the above and "hoovered" them out in a "Henry" cylinder which was new.
you may like to wash or stove the feathers first.
