Some of you asked to see the outcome of my downsized stash so that I would have room for my vintage machines (and left over stash)-----I am not done organizing yet (will I ever be?) The last picture are of some I need to work on yet.....I do have 5 in cabinets that I did not show.....

Debbie C 04-09-2012 09:17 AM

Tartan 04-09-2012 11:56 AM

NIIIICE! Your machine display is wonderful and it looks like your stash is down to a more manageable size. Congratulations!

SuzyQ 04-09-2012 12:00 PM

Wow, my DH thinks I have too many machines and I only have 3 LOL.

Suzy

SUZAG 04-09-2012 12:12 PM

Ok, so I went back and found the picture of your original stash...how on earth did you get rid of so much in 6 weeks? Your machines are beautiful!

jcrow 04-09-2012 12:25 PM

I saw your first thread and saw all the fabric and how it all magically disappeared (to me) and then saw all the empty shelves and read that you had quite a few sewing machines. OMG!!! I am so impressed with all the beautiful antique machines you have. And the last picture in your series of pictures...it's the most beautiful machine I've ever seen. All the wood carving on the cover is gorgeous. That must be your pride and joy!!

Grandma Bonnie 04-09-2012 12:31 PM

Fantastic collection and to think that all, but one works! If I only lived closer.......ahh, what a wonderful time we could have :) except for my drooling!

GrannieAnnie 04-09-2012 03:03 PM

That red beauty ought to be enthroned in glass with neon lights around it!

Rumbols 04-09-2012 03:05 PM

I am drooling and trying to type at the same time. What a lovely collection of toys you have. They look beautiful. Congrats.

GrannieAnnie 04-09-2012 03:07 PM

You may not want to answer this, but what is the estimated value of your machine collection? I counted over 30 machines.

barri1 04-09-2012 03:33 PM

Wow.. It is so nice to see someone having fun.. I don't have much room as I live in an apartment.. so I only have a couple..

Tink's Mom 04-09-2012 03:37 PM

I love the way you display them!!! If you ever run out of room, let me know...I can start driving and be there in around 10 hours....lol

tammy cosper 04-09-2012 03:59 PM

Awesome! I know how you feel. I love having mine where I can see them and appreciate them.

I really don't know the actual value-----I have kept track of what I paid----but have had some really good luck in finding them at low cost------the featherweights, especially the red one, were the most expensive......Actually, I have 46 vintage machines all together......I didn't get them all in a picture.....they are all over my condo----every side table, practically, is a sewing machine cabinet....I am a widow and retired and my children live in Des Moines and Wichita so this is what I do for excitement in my life......and the kids support me in it and my quilting.....I am so blessed to have their support and am having great fun!
this is how

madelinkk 04-09-2012 04:17 PM

Love your pretties. Especially the red one!

momto5 04-09-2012 04:18 PM

I'm going to print this off so my kids will quit fussing at me! I ONLY have 15....I told my DDIL that I had just gotten another (a CH-15) and she wanted to know where I was going to put it! Silly girl, everyone knows that's what floor space, the hearth, the book cases and table tops are for! I figure I can buy at least ten more before I run out of room...LOL and enjoying my "stable"!

ppquilter 04-09-2012 04:24 PM

Great collection and way to display ! I need more room to collect and display mine, never enough rm!

craftybear 04-09-2012 04:28 PM

Wow, thanks for sharing your sewing machine collection with all of us

Are you still collecting more of them?

valleyquiltermo 04-09-2012 04:39 PM

Wow what a beautiful display, I thought I had a lot of machines(26) but you win the prize.

Mariposa 04-09-2012 04:43 PM
