ok - need to explain. bought what I thought was a bag of scraps at GW today, real cheap. Well they are sort of scraps - but they appear to be the beginning of someones project. each strip is about 36" long and about 3 1/4" wide (would be 6+ " if opened up. some patterns there are a lot of - some only one or two or three etc. As you can see they were sewed into a "point" at each end.
I really don't want to spend hours ripping out seams to open them up. Any suggestions on how I can use these? What do you suppose they were making with them? |
i would make it easy & lay that sewn seam down on my cutting mat....and chop it off with the rotary cutter!
then once opened up..you can cut to whatever size you want need. |
I agree with Kimmie. Cut off the ends and go for it.
|
Agree with the other two that I would conveniently trim them with my rotary cutter and then do any scrappy strip quilt you want with them!
|
Even with the seams cut off they'll be pretty good sized "scraps", so that's what I'd do, too.

i agree

They aren,t bias strips for binding are they? Just wondering, they angled ends and the width makes me wonder
