I am making a pp sailboat baby quilt for my dd step mother in law. I sent her a picture....pp sailboats..stripe sales..green boats..blue background with stars.. pale yellow shashing...green dot inner border.. stripe outer border.
She thinks the stripe outer border makes the quilt to busy! She wants a solid blue border.. No light blue fabric that matches. I got royal blue like one of the stripes in the sails. I think it is to dark. She lives out of state. I am going to send her a piece of all the fabrics so she can see what they look like in person. My daughter said she was high strung and out there! If I ever learn how to post pics I will post it. This is my first try at pp. Linda |

Thank you so much. alternating 4 patch and squares. cut 6.5 inch squares for the 4 patch 6.5 squares for the other. measures 30 x 30 without borders cut 2 inch for the first border cut 4 inch for the last border |
The last post (tutroial) for "Slanted Stars" looks as easy as it gets. Instead of white you could use color. Would be a cute baby quilt, I think.

You said that for the 4 patch you cut 6.5 inch squares and the same size for the squares. Do you then quarter the squares for the 4 patch? |
Try a tube quilt. Search here for the instructions. Really easy and looks great.
