When we cleared out my in-laws belongings, we found this quilt top. My dh says he doubts my mil did it, and I never came across a sewing machine, tho my sil may have taken it earlier...doubt that, too. Sorry the photos aren't better. I have had it since about 1988, don't know how long she had it. There is only one tiny spot that might need to be resewn.

My MIL didn't have a machine either, but she made quilts all by hand sewing.

i believe if you research Kansas City Quilts, you will find out more info on this quilt. They published their patterns in the newspaper. It could have an interesting history.

I was just noticing that altho the baskets are all the same, the way the flowers are made, each is different, stems, etc. I had only thought, briefly looking at before, that each flower head was different, but I see now that each is completely different.
