What a neat idea, I will have to try that, am always wanting new ways to do things.

I like binding but I am not very good at hiding the stitches.

I love everything else.

I love the binding process, I usually let 3 or 4 stack up so I have something to do at night.

It is surprising how fast it goes once you start.
Do you have a CD player? Get a chiller and thriller audio book from the library to listen to. You will be surprised how that helps the time fly by!
Also use hair clips or the ones they make to hold binding, they are easy.
I used to know someone who brought her quilts and handstitched the back of the binding during our monthly quilt meeting.
Do you have a quilting friend who will sew your binding?
Bribe shamelessly with the offer of a pieced top for them to keep!

I hate to any kind of hand sewing, but I really like your idea. Yes it would be "Stitched with love and bound with prayer". I think I will try this the next time I have to do a binding. I prefer to do it all by machine, but it doesn't look neat, so I usually always end up doing it by hand, which I hate. But with your little quote, maybe I can get through it better. I love to do the hand work on the binding on the back of the quilt. Very relaxing for me.

I love binding the quilt...it is relaxing to me and when I am done I know I am "almost finished" with it..... :thumbup:

I don't mind doing the binding at all. I find it relaxing and then I know the quilt is finished, Yippee I can start another one. :P

I like doing the binding. I find it comforting to be able to do some handwork in the evenings while I watch tv.
