I had planned to make a lover's knot quilt this year, bought all the fabric with my christmas money. However am so overloaded with projects that are in progress. My LQS just so happens to be offering a lovers knot class in july. Should I take it and add it to the list of already too many projects. I already work fulltime and have a rambunctious toddler on my days off. Am I biting off more than I can chew. What would you do?

Go for it, you will get ideas and hints that may help with current projects
Take the class and have fun!

My motto is "When in doubt, don't."
You wouldn't even be thinking about asking this question unless you're starting to feel overwhelmed. Unless you quilt for a living, the quilting process is supposed to be relaxing and fun. An alternative is to put off one of the other projects to do the lovers knot quilt - and not feel guilty about it! |
I think I would wait a bit if I were you. You're so busy already and the fabric for the lover's knot will still be there when you're ready for it.
DO IT & consider it "me" time. It's something you enjoy & any class you take you come out with learning something. Fun & learning all in one day! go for it!
I would do it, then you will be sure to get it made. Great break from everyday life also.
I would go for it, by the time you have time for it, there won't be a class on it. I have a book for the Lovers Knot by Eleanor Burns haven't made a quilt from it yet.
Are you going to make the Eleanor Burns or the one on quilt scache they are not the same I am thinking about the on Quilts cache for my brother and sister-in-law for their Golden Wedding in Dec I
