I've just noticed that a lot of posters have been apologizing lately for asking such "simple" or "stupid" quilting questions. There's no such thing! Many of us are new, and even those who have been quilting for decades may have questions when trying a new technique or expanding his or her skills. Don't worry about it, just ask! No one is "stupid" because of his or her questions. I know that I've learned tons from reading other people's questions that I didn't even know to ask myself.
So what about it, let's stop putting ourselves down! |
I agree. The only way to learn something is to ask.
|
You make a great point: Quit putting yourself down by saying this!
I agree with you but it helps to let people know that you think you should be able to do something when you feel everyone else obviously has mastered it:) I have been messing around with sewing all my life and feel i should be further along. I know I'm not stupid and neither are my questions but it's a "stupid" habit I have of prefacing every question with "I got a stupid question." |
WHAT IS quilt piercing?
|
Even if it's the same question asked again and again, someone usually had a new take on the answer so ask away.
We can all learn something new that we never knew we didn't know. |
