Trash to treasure

I was about to throw away this empty plastic container (4 lbs of plums from Costco) when it dawned on me it was the perfect size to hold my backing, binding and coordinating FQs for a future baby quilt. I wish now I had saved others I threw away in the past.

Ha ha! Love it! I use the plastic containers (very similar to yours) that spinach and lettuce come in!

Great idea, but the problem is - with your fabric looking so cute in the container, will your UFO ever become a FO?

Thanks for a great tip! I do the same thing - it helps to keep fabrics for specific projects separate so that I don't use it by mistake. Love your fabrics too.

Great idea. I saved my first one a few weeks ago before I left on travel. Now to put a project in it.

I use the lettuce ones as well and keep my different size scrappy squares in them.

I seldom buy groceries in such containers, but they are ideal for small amounts of stuff.

Thanks for the great idea!
