That is a great idea, sorry I didn't think of it sooner. Got to love the QB for great ideas.

I love the fabric in the container! I reuse those containers also.

It's amazing the types of containers that can be reused. I use those plastic jar containers from canned peaches to store home made hot fudge and sweet/sour sauce, cold drink mix containers make great holders for pens, pencils, small scissors, etc. With the lid they are great for saving buttons, snaps, etc. and they are also visible. If you do a lot of hand sewing you can use old salt/pepper shakers or purchase cheapies (just make sure they are large enough to hold a spool of thread loosely). Put your thread into the shaker and pull the thread through one of the holes of the lid. I also put a small piece of stick-on velcro on the outside or top to keep the thread from falling back into the jar or just tape it to the outside. This will keep your thread from unwinding all over the place and makes for neat storage.

I too have used these, and they are super with some of the tops that go higher, and the nice clear plastic. I have used one for putting trim into that I can pick from, and also very stackable.

I love the 2 pound grape tomato containers for storing my charm squares. I was buying lots of fruit/veggies just to get the containers for my strips, squares, etc. LOL! Love Costco's grape containers for fat quarters.

I've done this as well. Smaller containers are nice for laces and other small trims if you also do clothing for kids.

I love using plastic containers like that to store my fabric pieces and other craft projects. So much better than buying new containers.
