I have been using these clear plastic containers for ages. I prefer them to plastic bags, because I can stack them up and see exactly what is in them. One has all the triangles that come from cutting my jelly roll strips at a 45 degree angle for the strippy quilts, one has scraps from kids quilts, etc. I also keep one beside my sewing machine to put my thread trims in. It is so easy to color code them too, don't need labels because you can clearly see what's in them. Another good thing is that many have air slots in them, so the fabric can "breathe".

I have a couple in the sewing room to stand up my embroidery threads...I can see which colors I need, plus they don't get dusty or dry out as fast...plus they stack.

I started saving the ones I get spinach in and they work great. Now, if I can keep my daughter from using them all on me....lol. :)

I also use these plastic containers. I have the smaller size that had salad mix in them...The older I get the more I rely on see thru containers because I can't remember what is in them..LOL
