I have gone totally blank. I took my hand quilting class long before I ever had a quilt top made. Now I have a gazillion tops and can't remember what we basted with.
Thanks! Suzanne |
I use Sulky KK2000. There are others on the market. Personally I prefer safety pins to the overspray.

I use basting spray.

I have a big cone of some anonymous thread that my husband found at the flea market for $3. It is very strong and has a slippery feel to it. Works great. No snagging or knotting. I've basted at least 10 quilts with it, and it is no where near empty. I'll be sad when it finally runs out.

I use safety pins.

505 Basting spray!!!

I use safety pins. I'm afraid to try the spray.

I know I can repin if I don't have it sandwiched correctly. But if I spray it, I understand that it is hard to make adjustments.

Just be sure you are using "basting" spray, not other adhesives. |
