HummerGardenCrafts 09-19-2011 04:30 AM

First thing I did was get up and move all of my crafts I've been painting on. I had to move all my stuff because my hubby just got back from Idaho. Had to pick him up yesterday evening. One of the guys got a bull elk. So he will be cutting up elk meat. I know the kids in TN are thrilled. They always get some.

Now since that chore is done, I've been gathering my things up to put in the shop down town. Have all the good ole errands to do. Bank, pharmacy, grocery store.

Then when I come back and get everything put away. I'm headed to my craft house to work a bit. And when it gets later, I'll come back down and work on stuff at the house.

Oh, yes! I forgot. I also have to make some biscuits and fry elk tenerloin. Thought I was going to have hubby home at night. But they changed the shift for him. They are starting a double shift to get the bridge going faster. So put him on night shift. That's means I have to be quiet during the day.

Oh, change of plans already. I don't have to go out until tomorrow. Yea!!!!!!

I get to start on crafts right away.

I'll check back to see what all you are going to do or have done today. I'll let you know what I've gotten done. Lots I hope!!!!!

craftybear 09-19-2011 04:33 AM

Have a fun day today! I will be resting and cleaning house.

annthreecats 09-19-2011 04:42 AM

I'm at work all day. Can't play at the house until after I feed the cats and dog tonight.

AlwaysQuilting 09-19-2011 04:45 AM

I'm working 2 jobs this week. No playing till next Sun.

BluegrassGurl 09-19-2011 04:46 AM

Me and my husband had unexpected out-of-town relatives to "drop by" from 3 states away. They were so tired... no way could we not offer for them to spend the night....so I'm trying to figure out what to cook for breakfast. Then work.... then.... hopefully.... begin sewing on a log-cabin quilt that is all cut out and just waiting for me.

May everyone have a blessed day!

yolanda 09-19-2011 04:48 AM

I am going to work :-( all day... I would love a day to stay home and sew ....

sueisallaboutquilts 09-19-2011 04:52 AM

I have to work this morning, hope to get sewing time later- finishing up a quilt top so I can either start something new or go to my piles of UFO's - that pile is too big!
Plus house stuff- may or may not get done :)

plainpat 09-19-2011 05:12 AM

I have Summer in the Park blocks cut out, but when I hold them together, the small center block, where they meet ...are not cut all same size.....so what to do? Use only the blocks that are ok...or just use them all? It's a puzzle!

Making soup for dinner.Cleaned house Sat, so that's done.Hope everyone has a good day. It's grey & cloudy here in Oh...rain expected.Soup weather!

Xstitshmom 09-19-2011 05:35 AM

Going to work at sprucing up my kitchen cabinets and then probably watch the Nascar race that got rained out yesterday. Maybe I'll lug the machine to the Living room and sew while I watch the race.

auntpiggylpn 09-19-2011 05:38 AM

I will be going to my clinical at the local animal shelter! Then, out to dinner! (Free meal from Outback, yum!)

Chicca 09-19-2011 05:44 AM

After I finish reading posts on the board....hee, hee, hee...I have got to do some housework. Then the remainder of the day will be spent cutting fabric scraps into squares. I am getting so close to completion!

May in Jersey 09-19-2011 05:57 AM

DH and I are 'resting' after a long trip out of state on Sat. to visit grandson for his 11th B-day and an even longer trip home on Sunday. Glad I washed and ironed fabrics for black and white log cabin quilt before I left so after my 'rest' this morning I'll begin cutting strips. Later I'll run over to the farm market for some veggies and chuck chop meat for tonight's meat loaf dinner tonight, will make enough so we can have it again tomorrow night.

Mariposa 09-19-2011 05:58 AM

My hubby & I are packing up to head to the middle of the state for a few days~~ :)

GingerK 09-19-2011 06:03 AM

I had some housework to do this morning, am finishing my second cup of coffee as I catch up here, then into the sewing room to finish the borders on my first OBW. Must remember to take a photo of the origional fabric. I have to work tonight so will try to grab a short nap this afternoon.

Weather is overcast and looks like rain. Fall is definitely in the air. I shudder when I look out and think of all the autumn yard work I have to do--so for today, I'll just keep my curtains closed!

Scissor Queen 09-19-2011 06:04 AM

I think I'm going to be resting my hand for the most part. I worked all the thread ends in on a quilt yesterday and my index finger is killing me. It hurts clear down to my fingernail.

It's been very sore since I took a reverse fusible applique class in August. I hope it quits hurting eventually.

So I think mostly I'll read the board and I need to go pay the electric bill this afternoon. I can't go do that until after I get hubby up. He got home at 8:15 this morning and has to get back up and go work for 4 hours this afternoon.

ontheriver 09-19-2011 06:09 AM

I am going to work on a baby quilt I am making with pinwheels. Tried to yesterday and I had to rip more on the first 8 blocks than I have had to do with my last queen quilt. Then I sewed blocks upside down. After a few hours of that I gave up and read a book. Maybe today will go better.

katsewnsew 09-19-2011 06:14 AM

I will be packing up my WIPs for the umpteenth time from my spare bedroom, son is coming for a 2 week visit.

simplyme 09-19-2011 06:17 AM

Today is a teachers workday at school so I have the boys home with me today. We are going to meet hubby for lunch (nice change for everyone) and then this afternoon I will let them play with Granny so I can get some sewing done. Tomorrow will be all mine after boys get off to school. I can have a quite cup of coffee and start sewing. Yea!!!

BellaBoo 09-19-2011 06:21 AM

I'm waiting for the contractor to come by and get payment for the new floors his crew installed for me this last week. Good job guys! Then I'm going shopping and lunch with a friend. I may go to a movie or go to Barnes and Nobles and browse the new quilt magazines. I'll come home and either sew on my applique quilt while watching tv or read. I have no idea what DH's plans are. He is in and out all day.

Vivian Ketron 09-19-2011 06:33 AM

I'm not sure I will do much of anything today. Was out of town for 4 days. Had a nice trip but it is cloudy and dreary today. Got my ggd ready for school, put her on the bus, have been on this site for a couple of hrs catching up and have some baby quilts to finish. Might do that today.lol.

lovedquilts 09-19-2011 06:35 AM

I'll be working on a customers quilt

karenpatrick 09-19-2011 06:37 AM

Sounds like you have a full day. I'll be packing for West Virginia. Leave at dark 30 in the morning.

Greenheron 09-19-2011 06:41 AM

I'm hoping to do outside work, it's so nice and cool for a change. I have a new big cage for my little conures and am cutting saplings for perches. Then weed-whacking time and gathering some garden gleanings. That should do me in.

mayme 09-19-2011 06:57 AM

I'm sewing mittens. It's rainy and cool out so a good day to get going on the mittens.

deanneellen 09-19-2011 07:02 AM

Heading to the coast for some good seafood with friends, then up to see my Dad for a game of cribbage. Maybe I will get to sew on a quilt tonight for my new grandson, born Sept 10th, almost 6 weeks early but doing well. Still in the Neo-natal unit in Zurich, Switzerland.

SuzyB 09-19-2011 12:26 PM

I'm working on an I-Spy quilt for my 16-month old grandson for Christmas. I've collected my fabrics and today I am tracing and cutting out the pictures, which are octagon shaped. Needless to say, I'll be working at this for some time. It's raining on OH today, so it's a good day to stay inside and play with fabric. :)

blahel 09-19-2011 05:00 PM

it is nearly 9am here and overcast and I am trying to get motivated to go clean out the chicken coop...not my most fun job i can tell you! I also need to do some weeding but not sure I will feel like it once I have cleaned out the chicken coop.
I have already tidied out the pantry this morning, made us all porridge for breakfast and put a loaf of bread on in the breadmaker. Hopefully I will get in some sewing time today unless i decide to get creative in the kitchen. Hope everyone has a great day!

whinnytoo 09-20-2011 02:54 AM

I'll be working on two ufo's and also finishing up a customer quilt.

Make a Waldorf salad for the AARP luncheon. When I get home it's back to cleaning out so my adult GD can move into two rooms. She had her hours cut and simply can't make it on her check now. Soooooooo what ate Grammas for? I've got the room. Also get my very own Vet Tech for my three cats and two dogs plus a house and animal baby sitter when I travel which I do often. Good deal both ways. Oh and the extra money (much less rent than she's paying now) will buy more fabric.

didi 09-20-2011 03:07 AM

Yesterday was my day finished alot of small things, mug rugs, thread catchers, etc...Today, take DH to the outpatient for eye surgery...bring home and baby him,

mar32428 09-20-2011 03:09 AM

Oh I forgot. Friend and I are going to Boston for a 9 day bus tour next week. Have to start pulling out "what to wear" stuff, suitcases, finish up some newbies and shorten some tee shirts. I use the "cutoff" pieces to decorate the shirts. If they get any longer, they'll be down to my knees and I'm 5'6".

northern lass 09-20-2011 03:22 AM

I help a friend of mine clean and cut up venison and the biggest treat is when I get home I take the tenderloin, cut it into medallions, fry it up and serve it with toast, pickles and a salad and potato chips. We make sandwiches and dip it in Heinz 57 sauce. Oh, Mercy, that is good. Looking forward to deer season in Minnesota and Wisconsin this year. I have a recipe for Hunter's soup that is out of this world. PM me and I will be glad to send it to you. Edie

My friends and I are going shop hopping!

LilaKay 09-20-2011 03:53 AM

I have a market tote bag to sew together today for my local quilt shop to display. I make samples for Calico Hutch in Hayward, MN. This pattern is an Amy Butler pattern and the best part about sewing for them is I get to spend my earnings right there at Calico Hutch!
