I just got a new computer yesterday came home set it up. This morning was so excited to get on the forum since I haven't been here because of the computer. Since it was a new computer it didn't sign me in automatically. GRRR. but....There was an ad on the left hand side of the screen that had a quilt on it, I LOVE the look of the quilt. I know it is a cathedral window quilt, but it is without all the fuss of folding, tacking and handsewing. It is a large block and looks to be all sewn together by machine, with lots of curves I might add.

Anyone know where I can find the pattern?

P.S. if you need a visual sign out and look to the left. lol

Eddie did a fabulous tutorial on cathedral windows - all machine stitching:

Thank you Linda, I have acutally made a couple of blocks using this tutorial. Here is the picture that I am talking about. This doesn't have any folds or anything. The pieces look as though they were cut into the cat's eye (what I call the slanted open pieces) and then sewn to the pieces that are squared off on two sides. More like a Faux Cathedral Window quilt. I am sure it has a more "proper" name though.

I am not real experienced at recognizing quilt patterns, but it seems to resemble a orange peel pattern (at least the white part).

This looks like it if you could figure out the colored part (which looks like HST and made the peels one color instead of two in the pattern)

Thank you Nursie I think I might be able to make that pattern work for it. hmmm. I will have to print it tomorrow and play around with it a bit.

That pattern looks like a Penny Haren design. She pieces blocks and then appliques over them. This one is a big HST cut twice with the curve pieced added. That's how I would do it.
