Default Question about civil war fabrics and pattern

I have ordered some civil war reproduction fat quarters and was wondering what advice you could give me about ordering an appropriate quilt pattern for my husband. I guess a log cabin pattern would work but are there others you would recommend? Thank you so much for your thoughts!

Go to Marcus Brothers web site.. Tons of free patterns. I've done "Dixie" and just finished "Civil War Ladies" today. They are great patterns, easy to follow. I Love CW repros! Good luck!

Thanks so much! I had never heard of that site and there are so many beautiful patterns there! I couldn't find the "Dixie" one but I sure love the "Civil War Ladies" quilt!

They must have taken Dixie down. It had a Confederate generals panel in the center. The CW Ladies was really quick, really just logcabin blocks. I'm snuggled up in it right now!

Within the last few days, a link was posted to Barbara Brackman's Civil War site. It just might be something you would be interested in. http://civilwarquilts.blogspot.com/
