I have the machine quilting class and it is wonderful. They did have a special at the end of the year where you bought one class for $29 and got a second one free, so they do have sales sometimes. I think if you wait, they will have another sale and if you are not going to use it for a while, whats the hurry, the class is not going away

I had been wanting to take a sock knitting course, so I bought it for $29.00 and got a second class free. I took the BOM class. I haven't started the course yet, just downloaded the instructions. It's my understanding that the class is there forever, once you have bought it. I hope I am able to follow the sock course. Knitting socks just seems so complicated to me. I'll see how it goes. I watched the first BOM class and it was very easy to understand. Hope the sock class is, too.

I have both the quilting quickly, strip piecing and the free motion quilting...I think I paid 30.00 for one and 20.00 for the others...well worth the money..I have learned soooo much...

I just discoverd that Craftsy has a Strip Paper Piecing segment on You Tube. Maybe you can view it and confirm if you like what you see and want to take the class or if You Tube gives you enough information for now.

I joined to do the BOM. I did the 2 blocks for Jan. I like learning new techniques. The class seems to be very good. I am using up stash and FQ that I have received on shop hops and other freebees.

My question concerns the Strip Paper Piecing class with Peggy Martin. I have wanted to take a class on this and the projects feature many of the techniques I want to learn. Right now it is on sale for $29. I won't be able to start for a while. So those of you who are Craftsy knowledgable. Is this a best price or will it be marked down again? Don't want to miss the opportunity, but since it will be a couple of months before I have time I'd hate to purchase now and then see it for a lesser price later. Any "knowledge from experience" out there is appreciated!
I just joined that class and paid 29.99. It was on sale just before Christmas for $19.00, but is was gone in a few days. I had just purchased it 2 days before that, but considering I don't take any classes at the quiltshops (too expensive for me), I thought it a good buy for $29.99. I have been sewing for quite a while and mostly do my own thing, but this class seems to draw me in. Especially the compass ones. Have not looked at it very much, but there is no rush. It is good for as long as there is Craftsy and/or the internet. What I have seen so far looks good to me. I can always use my scraps, if I don't want to make a whole quilt, but just learn the principles.

I'm so glad to hear what you all have to say. I have been toying with the idea of signing up for FMQ one and saw the BOM one. I signed up for that one and like but was still hesitant on the others. Thanks for helping me to decide to make the leap!!

I did the Pictorial Quilting and the Stupendous Stitching and they were both amazing classes. I signed up for the free BOM too. I don't like how you have to play the pricing game so much. One time my phone showed classes for $19.99 and my computer for $29.95! They clearly are targeting different audiences- so I watch very carefully. I think their full price (over $50) is way too expensive, but if you can get a class for $30 or under- well worth it. Stupendous Stitching may be my favorite project ever.

I took one sewing class that was not what I expected, and was very disappointed by it. They do honor their guarantee, but be aware, it is only a 30 day guarantee (I didn't realize that so I just barely made it!) Hannah, who responds to all the emails is very helpful and accommodating.
