I was told yesterday about the market being crashed on the Featherweights in So Cal....can buy them all day long at the Rose Bowl for $100 ?? Didn't know if any of you lives close to it or not, but could be worth checking out? The seller wanted $245 for his and has re-posted on ebay 3 times. he told me this. Rumor or not?

Is that a Swap Meet at the Rose Bowl? Might be worth checking out if you're in that area.

I have not seen any indication of that around here but not in the market for another FW unless it was a steal at a garage sale. They are holding their prices on Craig's list I assume since the ads do not stay up long. Prices range from about $250 - $475 in recent memory.

I hope someone will go to the swap meet and let us know. But of course there will be a run on them.

I have noticed that the prices on FWs on eBay have come down some, depending on the machine of course. I was looking at them for a long time, and I definately noticed it. I paid $250 for one locally, because I got to hold it and look at it, and I didn't have to pay shipping, etc. It came out to the same price as if I had bought it on eBay. Anyway, several have sold for around $200 on eBay that look very good. There are pages and pages of them on there...so a real glut in the market. I don't know about Southern CA...I live in Central CA, and you just can't find vintage machines here very much.

A friend found one (TAN) at an flea market for $125 , another friend was with her & in a hurry to leave so she couldn't get it....went back several time & never saw the guy again!! Ugh..i saw one recently for $175 but had no $$$. Then i saw an 222k freearm for $625! So these are indication to me about lowered prices. All the guy said was he sold his 3 FW and then found out about the swap meet & was told they're much cheaper now..Of course, that's not the case on E-bay most of the times. Just curious about the Calif area's....hope someone will found out..
