Jackpot!
Welcome to the Quilting Board!

My best friend, a quilter and fabric collector died of cancer a few years ago. To say I was devastated is an understatement. Her husband asked me to clean out her studio. I took the major things I could use, then asked another of her friends to help me clean out. We divided the fabric we could use, then took all the rest.......and had a party with all of our quilt friends. We piled all the fabric on a huge table and each person took turns taking a piece of fabric they wanted, and then we went around again and again until all the fabric was gone.
Now, several years later, my quilt friends say...."I've used a 'Jane' fabric in this quilt". A great way to remember a friend.
Jackpot.///
I say go for it!
Boy, I agree with you on the Goodwill price subject. I too no longer donate to them because they resale for high prices!! I now take everything to Union Mission.

He opened 3 large cabinets full to the brim with fabric!! There were boxes upon boxes of fabric!! He let me take a large garbage bag full along with 4 other ladies he had invited to get some goodies.. I piled in all the cotton I could find. His sister is coming down to get what she wants and then he will call us back to clean out the rest.. I will post pictures as soon as I get a chance.. Oh, did I say the fabric was in PERFECT condition. no smells, no stains...she was very neat, tidy and love, loved, loved fabric!!!
