I found a magazine ad for " Magna Hoop" .Has any use this. Looks very nice and easy. But would like some input before buying.

I have both sizes of the Maga Hoop and wouldn't machine embroidery without it. There is a sofware program available that's helps with sizing so the design fits within the dimensions of the frame. Hooping is so much easier. I hated hooping and almost quit machine embrodierying because of it. I use mine on the babylock machines. They have Maga Hoops for most machines. I had a friend come over and look at mine and she was impressed. She went home and ordered her own. You won't regret purchasing one. The jumbo mega hoop is for the larger quilting squares. There is a DVD that comes with it as well.

Thanks. I have a Baby Lock too. I was pretty much ready to order , but thought why not ask here and see if I can here from someone who has it.

Right, you never have to hoop the fabric, that's beauty of it. You don't get those hoop burns as I call them. I use it on all fabrics not just the speciality ones like velvet, organza, etc. It works great on demin. It doesn't stretch like it does when you try to hoop it.

Not really you use them inside of your standard hoops and attach the fabric with magnets,( and they won't harm your computerized machine). There is a video I think on youtube.

Ok, mega hoops and magna hoops, Gotcha!!! That would be cheaper then, than using the sticky stabilizers to avoid stretching or leaving hoop marks on the fabrics. I will go look for the video, Thank You!!! :D :D :D

I have one too, for my Bernina 730. When I got the whole package, two of the 'templates' had splits in them at the narrowest part. I got replacements, and one of those had a split, and the replacement for that never materialised. At that point I gave up trying to get another one, and just mended the one I had. I think these plastic parts could do with being a bit thicker/stronger. Having said that, it is good to work with from the fabric point of view, as there is no stretching. Because of the templates, the available room to stitch designs is a bit smaller, and I hadn't realised just how much stabiliser I would need, so I eventually bought a 100 yard roll - I figured that would keep me going for a while!
