Any thoughts on quilt design software? I'm not sure I would know what to do with it, if I had it, but I was wondering if anyone uses quilt designing software and your thoughts on it. Is there software that works for creating paper piecing patterns?

    Hugs!

It's ALL about EQ6! They have a lot of paper piecing patterns in the program. I don't actually design that many quilts with it, but it sure is fun to play with! I especially like trying out different color combinations before I commit the money to buy fabric. It's not cheap, but you will never regret having bought it!

I didn't want a big complicated design software program so I picked up Quilt Design Wizard...it is the really simple version of EQ6...
It is ok...but is very limited. Glad I bought it with a 40% coupon at JoAnns 29$ minus 40%)...I am thinking of doing the EQ6...
Hope this helps....but I want a Machine Embroidery Design software as well...
I want, I want...the list goes on and on.

I have 1-2-3 Quilt. Haven't played with it much but I do download the daily free patterns and the fabric. There is a demo available on this site:

Looks like EQ6 might be what I want. Where is the cheapest place to buy it? Does Joann's carry it? If they do I can wait until I have a coupon.

    Thanks!!!!!

jo-anns has the EQ5 and EQ6 on sale right now. i got the EQ5 because i wanted to spend less than $100 for my first time (it is $89.99 w/free shipping). the EQ6 is $129.

don't think you can use coupons on EQ software at jo-anns. you definitely can't on the website

How do I redeem a coupon online?

I'm an EQ 5 lover -- haven't upgraded to EQ 6 because there's more than I can ever imagine to be done with EQ 5.

But, I will eventually upgrade to EQ 6.

I started with Quilt Wizard. I must say, I still like it! Then I went to EQ6 and that has opened up a whole new world! I really like trying colors befor buying fabric, or matching what is in my stash.
