I am sewing purses and clothing for christmas. I started them last week. I have some small gift bags made during the summer. So, I have a start.
I am also making bake goods baskets for my family and two of my friends that I have gathered the baskets, but, I want to make liners for. I will beef them up with specialty cocoas, coffees and teas and some candies.
We will be doing the family dinner, so, that will be fun. I am hoping my sister is here and can do Thanksgiving by then. Crossing my fingers.

You could make a walker bag for an oldster. See this web site for a free pattern. It was easy to do if you used pre-quilted fabric. http://sewing.about.com/od/healthbea.../walkerbag.htm

I saw this pattern or one just like it in one of the quilting magazines this month (or the most current issue). Maybe Quilts & More..I will look at home and let you know. I thought that it looked like a really cool gift idea.

Last year I made tote bags with grocery shopping in mind and those flimsy plastic bags it's really nice to carry my tote bags without the bottom falling out. I also made dish towels with hangers on the top to go over the handle on the stove or fridge (they were a hit and it was great to see them hanging in everyone's homes), throw pillow shams (I even recycled old bed pillows and made pillow forms for the shams). I look forward to my sewing projects every year for presents.

I am making all the grown males the pajama bottoms and the females night shirts. My DDs placemats also. I got a pattern at a yardsale and the fleese came with it for $1.00 for the smaller ones. A poncho with hood that velcors on and off. For the only little girl I have The fleese I got is christmas Plaid with the scotties on it. So CUUUTE!!! It is simple, fast you can sew it or glue it. The lady that had it already had cut out the poncho and sewn it together. All I have to do is sew hood, velcor. Make the little scotty dog purse pattern for it too. My little 4 almost 5 in Dec.year old is a Girlie girl that is what she callls herself,Will absolultly love this. The Boys I will use camoflag fleese without the Purse of couse. LOL They will go crazy for that and one of the dads is Navy. But the other will love it too. I have 2 Baby Quilts to make and then I am starting on my list. Ponchos first.
