Anyone else have "The Quilter's Catalog" by Meg Cox? As a school media specialist [we used to be librarians, but time marches on--my principal calls me the school Cybrarian-I feel like I should paint myself blue or green or something to live up to the title!] anyway books are my passion and this is such a great find. It doesn't matter what level of quilter you are, it has so much information about everything in the quilting universe. Take a look next time you're in a bookstore. I will confess I'm a quiltmagazineaholic--so in between publications I pick up my QC and always learn something new. Just wanted to pass on the info to other "needy readers" like myself!

I sat down and read it cover to cover. Every page was pure pleasure. I found out the lady who wrote goes to one of the quilt stores I go to! How cool is that?

I read it beginning to end also. But there is so much in it I learn more with everything I read again.

I love this book, I have bought a few copies as gifts for quilt friends. I actually first got it from the library and then decided I had to own a copy. I have read through this one a few times.

I bought that book not long ago, and read nothing else until I had gone through it cover to cover. So much great information!

I have a different review of the book. I bought it when it first came out, the info to me was just a rehash of the same thing I have read in quit magazines and books. The quilters she profiles had the same information about them as their website or interviews in magazines.

If you like the Quilter's Catalog you will love
Quilts in America by Patsy and Myron Orlofsky. The book is said to be the most important book ever published about traditional American quilts. It's a must have for every quilt library.
