My "go-to" book is The Quilters Ultimate Visual Guide. It is truly a bible of useful info.

Yes, I've heard that is really good. I love my Better Homes & Gardens Complete Guide to Quilting. When it comes to how to do something I need step by step with plenty of pictures! There are so many great resources in print and online. When I know I'm too tired to sew without making some major goof [make enough of those when I'm not tired] I either settle down with a quilt book or magazine or get online. I can quilt "virtually" and no costly mistakes! :D
