100% cotton thread like Aurifil or King Tut's would also be something I'd love to see in my stocking. I may have just come up with some of my stocking stuffers. Who needs chocolate when you can have thread??

I know the feeling exactly. So, I buy what I really want for myself and tell them the next things down on the list.

Im hoping for gc for fabric.
what i really want is an embroidery machine.
I make stuffed animals for the poor kids, and just found a german site that has faces for a bunch of dolls an animals. Those sacty eyes are expensive. Think how many kids i could make gifts for.

Hubby and I haven't exchange gifts for years, but this year I went up north to see my ggs being born and after a month of being gone I got a really nice surprise when I got home. He made me a brand new sewing desk all by himself and his very first one. I think I'll keep him around another year or two. P.S. I really love it. I'll send pic when I can finally get them on line.

Santa ordered my mega hoop from Going Batty (LQS). Yippee! Believe it or not, that was the least expensive place he could find it. Even on line was a almost hundred bucks more. Go figure, I thought sure it would be somewhere far away that would take forever to get here. It will be here in a week or so. I am so excited!
Some of these santa gifts would be SO nice to get. I hope you all get lots of wonderful quilting gifts. I think my machines need servicing. Dang it! I hate shelling out that money at this time of year.

Well, I went Christmas shopping Saturday and it seems the only one I bought for was me. Not quilt stuff, but things I had wanted a long time. While in Walmart looking for some things for the grandkids, I spotted an enameled cast iron dutch oven. I've wanted one for a long time, so I bought it. Then I got home and decided to once again check on line for a KitchenAid stand mixer. I have been looking for a couple of years, so I found the Arteson model on for $349 at Macy's. There was a $30 rebate and they deliver free. But I decided to check locally at Bed Bath & Beyond. They offered the same $349 price, plus the $30 rebate, and I had a coupon for 20% off. I also had $10 left on a gift card, so I was able to buy the mixer for $239.00. I am one happy camper.
Next week I promise to shop for everybody else on my list.

I have told my children not to get me any gifts..THere are 14 grandkids and they should concentrate on them...If I have any money after Christmas, and moving the end of December, I will splurge and get what I really want..a table to work on. I bet my best gift this year will be from the secret santa exchange, and the smiles on the grandbabies faces
