Yes, me too. It clears my mind for creating the next quilt. Clean, vacuum, everything in its place.

I'm another that can only work on one quilt at a time. I will plan and purchase fabric for my next quilt during the time I'm working on one, but I won't start cutting the next quilt until the previous one is bound and done.

Nothing with quilting, but with my glasses. If I take them off, they have to go into a hard case so I can't sit on them.

Cindy - that is how I also control UFOs. Quilting is messy, at least for me, so it needs to be done after each project.

I really like this thread because all of our personalities show through.
Today, I am finishing a quilt I am making for a grandson's upcoming wedding. Then, I will clean up everything about it, measure and fold left over fabric, pattern, etc. Then, (you guessed it) I will pull out all of the stuff for the next project. I have plastic boxes with my ongoing guild project-a block of the month and a charity project. I also have a box for an ongoing project for another organization set aside. But, I like clean and neat sewing area. I think it is hard to keep the sewing room orderly-but I really try!

Actually this is a very good idea. I like to fold fabric differently every time I pull it out and use some. Before it goes back, the folds are in a different place. That way the folds relax a bit and are easier to iron out when you need to.

I need to make my binding before I quilt my sandwich. When I am done with the quilting, I don't want a delay before I can put on my binding and move to finish.
