Ahhh, I knew there was a gravy rule out there somewhere, lol.

White gravy is for breakfast meals and brown gravy is for supper meals. Chicken gravy is made with pieces of chicken skin battered, fried golden brown and crispy, chopped up and added to the brown gravy. White gravy, has crumbles of sausage or bacon mixed in. Always made in big cast iron skillet.

My husband is an over the road truck driver and while in California he ate chicken and waffles. I fixed it when he got home for the family and everyone loved it. It didn't sound good but I also know that it is big in the south. Gotta try it! :D

My mom used to make chocolate gravy, but never told me how she made it. Would you post the recipe/directions for making chocolate gravy?

Does being from Oregon preclude eating a treat at any time of the day you want it? There is nothing better than fried chicken with honey and if you want to eat a waffle with it, that is certainly your choice. No food police any more than quilt police! froggyintexas

I'm from Canada and I've wondered this also.

I dare say I have never ever made a cream gravy. It is a white sauce? Milk, butter and flour type of thing? It really sounds good.
