    Post sewing puzzle box

    I would like to know if there is any patterns or instructions out there to make a wooden puzzle box for sewing? I am looking for a pattern that Look like the singer oak sewing box.

    I don't have a pattern but the puzzle box is 6.5" long 3 3/8 " wide and high the wood is 1/4 thick the ends are dove tailed and cut corner to corner in an X it two hinges on three sides I hope that helps a little. Mine is from 1898

    I think I have all the pieces except for the 2 small screwdrivers that go on the left side. Sorry for the toes, at least I had a pedicure!! LOL

    There is a group on Yahoo--Singer. They may have some ideas. It is just a place to show off your vintage Singer 'stuff'...

    Thanks. I do think these boxes are so neat. I am wanting my husband to make me one. So any information on them is very helpful.

    They come up for sale on eBay regularly, often they don't have the contents, so then you could reline it with new felt and customize the interior.
