Default Show Us Your Quilts Using Muslin!

I asked you darling QBers about using muslin as a backing in this thread and you provided such wonderful advice that I'm hoping you'll share photos of quilts using muslin on the back, as wholecloth and as background. Please share!

I have showed this one before. I completed it in 2011. The background is made from scraps of muslin and the little "butterflys" are small scraps left over from men's shirts, other quilts and doll clothes.

Bobbielinks, I love your quilt! It's so delicate and yet cheery. Those blocks must be tiny - so much work!

I made several comfort quilts using decorator fabric samples. I combined these with muslin, because the decorator fabric was quite heavy. Using muslin next to the decorator fabric gave me less bulky seams. Also I need something very neutral to combine all the different decorator fabrics.

If I EVER get around to making a Dear Jane quilt, I will probably use muslin for the background.

Oh my goodness Dunster, I have some beautiful decorator fabrics that I've wanted to put in some kind of quilt for a long time. I love yours. My Grandmother and her mother made a lot of the quilts I've inherited from those. I love them. Yours is beautiful.

Was your muslin the bleached permanent pressed?
