Have you ever used a Soy Blend Batting? Please share your experience with it regarding how it hand quilts, bearding, washing, shrinking...

Actually, aren't soy beans meant to be eaten??? I don't get the whole soy candles, soap, batting, etc. thing. It all sounds gimicky to me!!

Oh drats, I saw your name on this thread, and thought another beautiful whole cloth. This is one I hadn't heard of. Interesting and very green. I would think they use the stalks.

Mhm... has nobody tested it already? I have this batting here at home, it is a sample I got from our wholesaler and the batting is produced in USA.
Maybe I just try it out.

Sorry, I havent even heard of it, but its nice that its made in the USA.
I think the reason they are doing so much with soy is because they can make alot of stuff with it that they used to need reg. oil for. Soy is supposed to be cleaner...and uses no gas. Like the soy candles are upposed to burn cleaner....yes, gimicky, but maybe better for the environment.

all i know about soy is that it has a very high level of estrogen in it. that is why little kids should be careful when it is in their diet. it is kinda getting like HFCS. in just about everything. i will have to watch this thread. if it is cheeper than cotton or bamboo and just as good then i might have to look into it.
