Has anybody made this pattern? What does it involve? Y seams, PP, set in seams? Before I spend money I want to know if I'm really going to do it LOL

If that's a Marci Baker pattern it is easier than most. It's done with a 60 degree ruler and the triangles are sewn in strips - no Y seams. I brought the book at a quilt show and saw Marci demonstrate the pattern. Creative Grids has a triple, 60 degree triangles, that allows you to cut three at a time, but at $35 I couldn't justify the cost.

I can't tell if it's a Marci pattern, but it's definitely done with triangles and no y-seams at all, just like her technique.

However, in this pattern, each large triangle (of the six that make up a cube), or half diamond, is made up of 3 pieces of fabrics (you can see it better if you use the zoom on the picture).

It's a great looking effect with no need for any advanced piecing techniques....just the piecing the larger triangles together in a row.

I have made a similar one it was very easy the cubes go together in rows . The difficult part is making sure your colours match correctly. For my centres I used baby pattern fabric and coloured edges. Cannot find quilt. Must have sent it away in last parcel.
