Goo Gone would be my choice too. If you try the WD40 try it in a little spot that isn't noticable, sometimes it leaves a greasy looking stain. I wonder if the postal service would allow me to send goo gone, they have a big poster up about sending stuff like that. I'll ask tomorrow. Sometimes hair spray will break stuff like that down too.

I don't know about hairspray. Like I said, this stuff is like rubber cement, but STICKIER!

TERRI!!! I found an answer on a glue trap web site....here ya go

If accidentally contacted, remove with mineral spirits
followed with washing with warm water and mild detergent.

Mineral spirits are readily available where they sell paints. Couldn't hurt to give it a try!!

Mineral spirits is the same as paint thinner - be cautious with it and do it outside if possible. It may de-stabilize some dyes, too. Some people are just too stupid to live - the idiot with the glue traps should be covered in them. I am glad kitty did not meet with the glue trap nose-first or she could have suffocated.

I feel for you, my Yorkie got her paw in one a long while ago. We have a feed mill back behind us and in the fall we get baby mice looking for a place to go, well I got some of those and had one I thought was out of reach for her but she seem a mouse near it and was trying to get it and low in behold put her paw in it. We put her in the tub with alot of stuff and nothing really helped. I used vinegar and it helped somewhat. those things are amazingly sticky. Good luck, if something works let us know for future reference....lol

Maybe try diluting it with a little water Moonpi...would that make it safer? Add a little more as needed until it takes the glue out? I'd hate for it to trash the fabric while it gets the glue out!!

I work in a machine shop quality lab. We use LPS brand CFC Electro Contact cleaner. It comes in a spry can. It takes the sticky off all kinds of label residue. It is acutally used to clean electonic board and connectors of grease and oil, but works great on removing tapes and labels. The stuff is aso awsome that a partial can actully followed me home one day. I have gotten it on my clothing without any discoloring.
We get it from supply houses for machining, tooling, automotive, and such. Your hubby may know what I am talking about.
I would also be glad to get a bottle of Goo Gone and send it to you if you pm me your addy.

Poor kitty!! I would try the mineral spirits on a scrap of fabric 1st to see if it will harm it. Also, what kind of batting did you use? If it was polyester, I'd be careful.

Otherwise, I recommend the dry cleaners. Their cleaning fluid is a degreaser as well as a sticky stuff remover. I've been in the business 28 years.

Have you tried medical adhesive remover? I use it all over the place for my sewing machine and hoops. No oily residue...
Or Peanut butter helps with fur, cushions, hair and pitch on skin.
WD40 will work but might leave an oily residue on fabrics and such, could work on skin and hair (then shampoo with hair shampoo)
