    Default Strippy Quilt

I have made a couple of these quilts and I agree they are easy to put together. I would like the quilt to be wider.
Would this quilt look ok with borders? What do you think.

Not sure if you were planning to post a photo with your question. I think a narrow border followed by as wide a border as you wanted, would look fine on a strip quilt.

Did you make a Jelly Roll Race quilt? Yes, you can add borders, or you can cut it up the middle and put a different fabric up the idle to give it more width. Then if you tie in the middle fabric with borders you can have the same width borders all the way around.

I’ve sewed scrap strips 3” wide (or 4”) end to end to make a continuous roll. Then cut to the width I want my quilt to be (60” wide or more)”. Sew them together to make quilt top, add border or leave off. Sometimes I stay with greens & blues; browns & yellows; red white blue or completely random.

I do a lot of strippy quilts and add a narrow border then another a bit wider and they turn out just fine.

if I am fortunate to have more of one fabric (the focus Hopefully), I love to add that. I think they look great...

In my opinion about every quilt deserves at least one border, to frame it.
